Seven Years War (Imjinrok) is a classic RTS that immerses you in the Imjin War, where Korea (Joseon) faces a Japanese invasion. The player chooses one of two sides, each with 10 missions based on historical battles. The gameplay revolves around gathering a single resource — food, which is obtained by workers who are also responsible for construction. Armies consist of infantry, cavalry, archers, and ships, with the ability to group units without restrictions. The game's unique feature is dynamic weather and a day/night cycle. Rain affects crops, drought creates economic difficulties, and nighttime darkness limits visibility, forcing players to think through their tactics. The campaign for Japan focuses on aggressive offense, while the campaign for Joseon focuses on defending the homeland. Visually, the game delights with its 16th-century Eastern aesthetics, although the atmosphere remains gloomy. Multiplayer allows you to fight on random maps.
