Released in 1998 by Westwood Studios, Dune 2000 is a Sci-Fi RTS for Windows 98 and was also ported to PlayStation (1999). Set in the Dune universe, by Frank Herbert, the player chooses their House and starts fighting for control of the unique strategic resource - spice.
The gameplay is a standard RTS, where players build bases and units and command them in real time.
The game received mixed reviews, with some noting balance problems and some naming it a great sequel to legendary Dune II.
