Command & Conquer: Generals – Zero Hour is the legendary 2003 real-time strategy expansion, now running directly in a modern web browser.
This browser version is based on the released C&C Generals source code and has been ported to WebAssembly by the Generals-WebAssembly project. The original Direct3D renderer was adapted for WebGL 2, allowing the actual game engine to run natively inside the browser instead of relying on emulation.
Game data is downloaded as needed and cached locally using OPFS, making subsequent launches significantly faster. The port preserves the classic Zero Hour gameplay, including its factions, units, campaigns, skirmish battles, and distinctive real-time strategy mechanics.
